Kitchener Rangers News Release
On Friday, December 19, the Kitchener Rangers will wrap up Project Shutout Hunger with a holiday game day food drive in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
The Rangers host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 7:30pm, and the team is encouraging all fans to bring a donation of food or funds to The Aud. Volunteers from the Food Bank of Waterloo Region will be on hand at every entrance to collect non-perishable goods and monetary donations.
The most needed items at The Food Bank include: peanut butter, beans in sauce, canned meat and fish, canned fruit, cold cereal and canned pasta.
As the temperature drops household expenses go up and many in our community will have to choose between buying food and paying for heat. But with the help of Rangers fans, we can feed hope and feed families in Waterloo Region throughout the winter. Every $1 donated will provide food for three meals.
