Tarantulas team up with Helping Hands Humane Society

[Topeka, KS.] - The Topeka Tarantulas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that they have teamed up with the Helping Hands Humane Society to help give back to the community.
To help raise money for the Topeka Humane Society, the Tarantulas will title the December 16th game against the Wichita Thunder as Helping Hands Humane Society Night. Part of the proceeds for that night will be donated to the Helping Hands Humane Society.
In the weeks leading up to the game, the Tarantulas will appear at PetCo, PetsMart, and the Humane Society in Topeka to help increase the number of adoptions. The Tarantulas will appear on the following dates:
Saturday, November 27th Noon-3 PM
Staff Members and Fang will appear at PetCo for a special Adopt-a-Pet day. PetCo is located at 1930 SW Wanamaker Road. Contact PetCo at 228-1000 for more information.
Sunday, December 5th 11 AM-4 PM
Staff Members, Fang, and Tarantulas players will be on hand at PetsMart to help with your pets pictures with Santa. Bring your pet to Pet Smart and they could have their picture taken with Santa. PetsMart is located at 2020 SW Westport Drive. Call them at 272-3323 for more information.
Tuesday, December 7th 2 PM
Staff Members and Players will appear at the Helping Hands Shelter on 2625 NW Rochester Road. Players and the Humane Society will have animals ready for adoption. For more information on this event, contact the Humane Society at 233-7325.
