Friday, November 19 Eagles 3 @ Wichita Thunder 2

Aaron Grosul and the Colorado Eagles defeated the first place Wichita Thunder Friday night, 3-2 at the Kansas Coliseum. Grosul, the number one star of the game had two assists for the Eagles. The Eagles did not play as well as they would have liked to, but did what they needed to find a way to win. Sean Robertson, Sergei Klyazmin, and Kevin Marsh all netted goals for the Eagles. This was the first game between the teams since the Thunder knocked the Eagles out of the playoffs last season.

Saturday, November 20 Eagles 2 @ Topeka Tarantulas 3 Shootout

The Colorado Eagles riding a four-game winning streak and a four-game road winning streak came to Landon Arena in Topeka and lost the Tarantulas, 3-2 in a shootout. The game marked the third overtime loss of the season for Colorado in three overtime games. Tarantulas goaltender Dwayne Bateman made remarkable save after save to give the Tarantulas two points in the victory and ended a two-game losing skid. He saved 28 of 30 shots and sent the Eagles home with their first overtime loss on the road this season. Eagles right wing Greg Pankewicz scored two goals in the defeat and extended his scoring streak to five games, and goaltender Tyler Weiman played his heart out saving 33 of 35 shots.

Wednesday, November 24 Eagles vs. Odessa Jackalopes 7:05 p.m. MST TV-Altitude, Radio-99.9 The Point

The Eagles and Jackalopes meet for the fourth time in the Eagles short history and the first time this season. The Eagles won all three games last season by a combined score of 8-3. Colorado's Ryan Tobler led all scorers in the series with six points and scored five of the Eagles eight goals against the Jackalopes. The Jackalopes are currently in second place in the Southwest Division with 16 points, just one point behind the San Angelo Saints. This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season; the Eagles will travel to Odessa on December 28 for the second and final meeting. The game will be broadcast live by Altitude Sports & Entertainment and is the second of up to eight televised games by Altitude this season.

Friday, November 26 Eagles vs. Wichita Thunder 7:05 p.m. MST Radio-99.9 The Point-KKPL

The Eagles and Thunder battle twice this weekend. Colorado beat the Thunder 3-2 on Friday, November 19 in the first of seven regular-season meetings between the Northwest Division rivals. The victory meant a little more to the Eagles as it was the Thunder that knocked Colorado out of the playoffs last season. Wichita is in first place in the Northwest Division with a 10-2 record (20 points), Colorado is in third place in the Northwest Division behind both Wichita and the New Mexico Scorpions (8-4-1, 17 points). The Eagles are 6-1-3 for 15 points, but have played fewer games than both Wichita and New Mexico.

Streaks- Riley Nelson- seven game scoring streak, has 6 goals and 8 assists in that time. Has scored at least one point in eight of ten games played. Greg Pankewicz- Has scored a point in all five games he has played. Is tied with Riley Nelson for the team lead with 15 points.

Killing Penalties- The Eagles continue to lead the CHL with a 90.9 penalty killing percentage. They have not given up two power play goals in a single game this season, and have killed their last 21-22 penalties.

Eagles Best Period- The Eagles have been dominating opponents in the second period so far this season. They have outscored opponents 17-5 in the second, the 12-goal difference is the most in the CHL. If the Eagles have the lead after two periods they are 5-0-0.

Eagles on The Point- 99.9 FM The Point will broadcast all of the Eagles regular and post-season games this year.

Ladies Night and Hockey 101 with the Colorado Eagles- The Eagles are hosting the first of two "Ladies Nights" tonight at American Eagles Distributing at 6 pm. All Colorado Eagles players will be in attendance along with Head Coach Chris Stewart to teach the ladies some of the finer points of hockey.

Coach's Show at Bennigan's- The Coach's Show will be held tonight at Bennigan's in Fort Collins at 6 pm. Eagles Director of Player Personnel, Phil Crowe will be stepping in for Head Coach Chris Stewart, and Eagles left wing Ryan Tobler will be the guest player. Eagles play-by-play broadcaster Tori Holt and color commentator Paul Wozniak with host the show.

Eagles in the Community- Colorado Eagles players Riley Nelson and Kris Mallette visited North Valley Middle School in LaSalle today to talk to 7th graders about growing up in Canada, and to give a little geography/culture lesson to the kids.
