
Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Forward Joel Vermin to Syracuse Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Joel Vermin to the Syracuse Crunch today, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Vermin, 23, has played in five games with the Lightning this season, recording one assist to go along with a plus-1 rating. The Bern, Switzerland, native recorded his first career NHL point (assist) on November 21 against the Anaheim Ducks. Two nights before, Vermin made his NHL debut versus the New York Rangers in the Lightning's 2-1 victory.
The 5-foot-10, 187-pound forward has skated in 12 games with the Crunch this season, recording three goals and 10 points to go along with two penalty minutes. Prior to being recalled by the Lightning on November 18, Vermin ranked tied for first on Syracuse for both assists (seven) and points. Vermin has appeared in 93 career AHL games, all with the Crunch over the past three seasons, notching 16 goals and 44 points.
Vermin was originally drafted by the Lightning in the seventh round, 186th overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.
