THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Wednesday, Dec. 9 vs. Charlotte Checkers AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m. (CT)

The Charlotte Checkers (11-11-0-0) make their second trip to the Alamo City where the Rampage dropped the first game against the Checkers 4-3 on Nov. 22. This will be the first contest of a weekday back-to-back for the Silver and Black in the AT&T Center. The Rampage have been 8-5-0-2 in the last five years when hosting Charlotte.

Thursday, Dec. 10 vs. Stockton Heat AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m. (CT)

San Antonio has hosted the Stockton Heat (7-8-0-2) twice this season posting a 2-0-0-0 record. The last contest with the new divisional foe came down to a shootout when Colin Smith, Joey Hishon and Mikko Rantanen lifted the Silver and Black to a 5-4 victory. Thursday's game will be the third matchup in franchise history and finish the Rampage's back-to -back.

Sunday, Dec. 13 vs. Texas Stars AT&T Center, 4:00 p.m. (CT)

The Texas Stars (12-9-1-1) make their third trip to the AT&T Center this season to take on their Lone Star State rival. The Rampage are 3-1-1-0 and a perfect 2-0-0-0 at home against the Stars this season. Sunday's game will be the sixth of 14 total contests this season and the Rampage won't host the Stars again until Dec. 27.

SPECIAL TEAMS: San Antonio's special teams have been an important piece of the Silver and Black's offense. The Rampage rank fourth in home power play record (23.3%) and sixth in overall power play record (22.1%). The Rampage have converted 10 goals on 43 opportunities with the man advantage in the AT&T Center this season.

STREAKING CENTER: Colin Smith's goal on Dec. 6 has extended his point-streak to eight games, surpassing the seven-game streak (2G-9A) set earlier in the season by Max- im Noreau. Smith has tallied two goals and eight assists in his current streak, which dates back to Nov. 20 when the Rampage hosted the Ontario Reign. The Rampage center is also tied for a team-high in points and goals.

ICE CHIPS: Joey Hishon - Rampage Center

Joey Hishon, 24, has been a pivotal piece of the Rampage offense and power play this season, tallying six goals and eight assists in 22 ap- pearances. The Rampage center is tied with Noreau for a team-high four power play goals and is fifth in scoring on the team. In the past four games Hishon's line, consisting of Mikko Rantanen, Andrew Agozzino, and Dennis Everberg, has bagged five goals, seven assists and record- ed a +9 plus/minus rating. Hishon has recorded 13 appearances in the NHL since 2014 and became the first Avalanche/Nordiques player to make his NHL debut in the postseason since Randy Moller in 1981-82, and the only player to do it while coming from another professional league.

The Rampage host their annual Teddy Bear Toss when the Texas Stars visit the Alamo City. Show your holiday spirit at the AT&T Center and bring a bear to toss on the ice after the Rampage score their first goal! All bears will be donated to Toys for Tots.
