
Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins Reassigned to ECHL's Manchester Monarchs

HARTFORD - Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned goaltender Cedrick Desjardins from the Wolf Pack to the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.
Desjardins, a 30-year-old 10th-year pro, has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in a game vs. the Springfield Falcons December 26, 2014. Prior to being hurt, Desjardins was 8-3-1 in 15 appearances with the Wolf Pack in 2014-15, with a 2.63 goals-against average, a 91.0% save percentage and one shutout.
A veteran of six career NHL games (2-4-0, 2.42 goals-against average, 91.9% save percentage) with the Tampa Bay Lightning, 234 AHL contests (112-83-19, 2.46 GAA, 91.4% save percentage, 22 shutouts) with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Norfolk Admirals, Lake Erie Monsters, Syracuse Crunch and the Wolf Pack; and 66 career ECHL outings (40-25-1, 2.33 GAA, 92.3% save percentage, nine shutouts) with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Desjardins signed with the Rangers as a free agent July 1, 2014.
The Wolf Pack's next action is this Friday night, December 11, when they travel to Providence to visit the Bruins.
