(Central Islip, N.Y., Aug. 24, 2011) - Hey kids, ready to be the coolest kid in school' You will be if you win the Take a Duck to Class contest, sponsored by TD Bank. If you write the winning essay, QuackerJack and a member of your 2011 First Half Liberty Division Champion Long Island Ducks will come to visit your classroom for an unforgettable afternoon of learning and fun.

To enter the contest, just stop by your local TD Bank to pick up an entry form. Then, write in 250 words or less "Why My Community is Important to Me," and return your essay to the Long Island Ducks. Four lucky winners will have a Ducks player and QuackerJack visit them at their school for an hour and receive a Visa Gift Card, courtesy of TD Bank. What will you do in that hour' That's up to the winners! Play with QJ, have a player read from your favorite book, or head outside for a game of wiffleball. It's all up to you!

Get ready to be the envy of all your classmates when you bring your two newest friends, QuackerJack and a member of the Long Island Ducks, into your classroom for an incredible school day they'll be talking about right up until graduation!

The Long Island Ducks are in their 12th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip, N.Y.
