
Tacoma Draws 1-1 to Real Monarchs in First Game Back at Cheney Stadium

TACOMA, WASH. - Tacoma Defiance (2-3-2, 8 points) drew 1-1 at home with Real Monarchs (1-5-3, 6 points), in its first game back at Cheney Stadium in a month.
Real Monarchs opened the scoring early courtesy of Malik Johnson when his shot from outside the box found the back of the net in the eighth minute. Tacoma remained a goal down until the final moments when Samuel Adeinran got the ball from captain Taylor Mueller and scored his own outside-the-box strike to even up the match at the death in the 91st minute.
The home side stays at Cheney Stadium for a quick turnaround as it faces Los Angeles Galaxy II on Sunday, June 27 (1:30 p.m. PT / ESPN+).
