Sounders FC to Fully Open Lumen Field Starting with July 7 Home Match

Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - With Washington State on course to fully reopen after June 30 and consistent with Governor Jay Inslee's full reopening plan, Sounders FC today announced that the club plans to fully open Lumen Field beginning with its July 7 home match against the Houston Dynamo.
For Sounders FC fans, this means that beginning on July 7, the stadium will be fully open and there is no longer a requirement to show vaccination verification before entry. For children ages 5-15, the team will no longer require proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
"As our state prepares to fully reopen at the end of the month, we're excited to share that Sounders FC and Lumen Field are following this guidance and likewise moving to fully open our home matches starting in July," said Sounders FC Owner & President of Business Operations Peter Tomozawa. "It took a great amount of work from Washingtonians across the state to get to this point, and I want to thank our fans and community for doing their part. While we are glad to be able to take this next step forward, we continue to encourage anyone who has not yet been vaccinated to do so."
This adjustment slightly advances the Rave Green's previously stated reopening plan, which had grouped the club's current stretch of three matches - June 23, June 26 and July 7 - as a trio of games that would allow for a full capacity lower bowl with a vaccination requirement in place, before removing the vaccination requirement for subsequent matches later in July.
However, as the state progresses to fully reopen, Sounders FC is moving up the club's timeline to follow the government's updated guidelines, advancing its full opening of Lumen Field to July 7.
Fans attending the match this Saturday, June 26, and seated in the lower bowl are still required to follow previously announced guidelines, which includes showing proof of full vaccination, while children ages 5-15 who are not fully vaccinated or not eligible to be vaccinated can attend in full capacity sections with proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of kickoff. These restrictions are being lifted beginning with the July 7 home match.
Single-match tickets for Sounders FC's June 26 and July 7 matches are on sale now. The Rave Green's remaining home slate is set to go on sale June 30 at 2:00 p.m. PT. At that time, fans can purchase single-match tickets to any of the season's remaining games, including its highly anticipated doubleheader matchday against Portland, a single-ticketed event on August 29 that features OL Reign taking on Portland Thorns FC, followed by Sounders FC battling the Portland Timbers, all at Lumen Field on the same evening.
Single-match tickets are available exclusively online through SoundersFC.com or over the phone by calling 877-MLS-GOAL. Partial season ticket packages are also currently available, featuring two separate five-match packs. Complete information on all Sounders FC ticket packages can be found at SoundersFC.com/Tickets.
Lumen Field has implemented an array of enhanced measures to make the Sounders FC matchday experience as safe as possible, including a touchless venue experience, new food and beverage protocols, in addition to enhanced sanitation procedures. All of these new measures will continue.
