T-Bones Win Fifth Straight Series

LITTLE FALLS, NJ. - The Kansas City T-Bones won both games, of Wednesdays double-header, 5-2, and 7-1, against the Jackals, at Yogi Berra Stadium.

The T-Bones received five strong innings, of two-run baseball, from starting pitcher Blake Holovach (3-0) to help set-up a game one win. Holovach, picked up the win and gave way to a two-inning save from Fernando Hernandez (2).

The T-Bones in game one, scored twice in the opening frame, collecting RBI hits from Adam Bailey and Kyle Robinson. Robinson in the sixth inning picked up his second RBI of the game, which gave Kansas City their second lead of the game, at 3-2. Robby Kuzdale drove in Nate Tenbrink and Kyle Robinson with two-outs in the seventh inning, giving Kansas City a final 5-2 win.

The T-Bones offense erupted for seven runs in game two of the double-header. The T-Bones scored three in the first, and two in the second to jump out to an early 5-0 lead. Robinson added a bases-clearing double in the first inning. The T-Bones, got three scoreless innings from starting pitcher Kris Regas and Derek Loera (1-0) picked up the win, as he allowed just one run over the final four innings.

The two wins, pull Kansas City within two games of .500. After starting the season 1-10, the T-Bones have rebounded with a 12-5 record over the last 17 games.

The T-Bones (13-15) continue the 10 game Can-Am road-trip, to Canada Thursday night. The T-Bones return home to CommuintyAmerica Ballpark on July 3rd, tickets are available by calling the Providence Medical Center Box Office at CommunityAmerica Ballpark at 913-328-5618.
