KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones, along with Delete Blood Cancer, are giving fans a chance to help thousands of people in need of a bone marrow transplant, including a St. Louis family that includes four boys with a rare blood disease, on Saturday, July 13. Before and during that night's game against Wichita at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, fans can register as a bone marrow donor.

The impetus for this is the Murry family, which includes four boys in the St. Louis area who have been diagnosed with Diamond-Blackfan Anemia, a potentially fatal blood disease that eventually will destroy the boys' organs with an excess build-up of iron. There are approximately 500 cases of the disease in the U.S., including the four Murry boys.

"Thousands of people need bone marrow transplants, but we were especially touched by the Murrys," said Seth Alberg, the T-Bones Senior Director of Corporate Sales. "With the great fans that we have, we wanted to team with Delete Blood Cancer to possibly help the Murry boys as well as the other people who desperately need life-saving bone marrow transplants."

Tickets for the game are available by calling the Providence Medical Center Box Office at Community America Ballpark at 913-328-5618 or tbonesbaseball.com.
