
T-Birds Get Past Blazers

Greg Scott scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period then the T-Birds held on to get past the Blazers 3-1 on Sunday night at the ShoWare Center in Kent. Luke Lockhart gave Seattle a 1-0 lead midway through the second period on the powerplay before CJ Stretch tied the game less than 5 minutes later. Jeremy Boyer scored an empty-netter with 1:20 to play Final shots were 34-17 Blazers - including 20-5 in the third period - with Jacob DeSerres getting the win and Jon Groenheyde taking the loss. The Blazers were 0-for-1 on the powerplay while the Thunderbirds went 1-for-3.
