T-Birds finalize 2005-06 schedule

SEATTLE, August 11, 2005 - The Seattle Thunderbirds today released their finalized 2005-2006 regular season schedule. There are three start time changes from the tentative schedule released last week. All game dates and opponents remain the same.

Two home games versus Prince George - Sunday, October 16, 2005 and Sunday, January 29, 2006 - are now afternoon games starting at 2:35pm. The Thunderbirds have not played an afternoon game at KeyArena since 2002.

The home game Saturday, November 26, 2005 against Prince George has been moved back one hour to start at 8:05pm. The Seattle Sonics will play an afternoon game earlier that day in the Key. The defending U.S. Division Champion Seattle Thunderbirds will open the season on the road against Prince George on September 23. The T-Birds home opener is Saturday, October 1 versus Kamloops, when they will raise their second Division Championship banner in three years.

Other season highlights include 6 home games versus both archrival Portland and I-5 foe Everett. A schedule of promotional nights for the 2005-2006 season will be released soon.

All games home and away are broadcast on T-Birds Radio 1150 AM KKNW and webcast live at www.whl.ca.
