
Syracuse Crunch to Hold Ninth-Annual Pucks for Paws April 6

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch will host the ninth-annual Pucks for Paws on Saturday, April 6 when the team takes on the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m.
Tickets for Pucks for Paws are available for $17 for humans and $6 for dogs. All proceeds from the dog tickets will benefit the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation. Humans and dogs will be able to sit together in the stage section of the arena. Dogs must be escorted by their owners at all times.
During the game, the Crunch will sell limited edition Pucks for Paws mystery pucks on the concourse for $10 with the proceeds benefiting the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation. The exclusive Pucks for Paws mystery pucks will feature the Pucks for Paws logo on one side and the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation logo on the other. Each puck will be signed by a member of the Syracuse Crunch. Local animal rescues, including Helping Hounds, Oswego County SPCA, Humane Association, New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue, Pet Partners, Cuse Pit Crew, Wayward Paws and SANS will have information tables in Memorial Hall.
Additionally, the Crunch will hold a pet supply drive during Pucks for Paws. Donation bins will be placed at the arena doors to collect pet supplies for local shelters. Shelters are in great need of pet food, blankets, collars, leashes, toys and cleaning supplies.

The ninth-annual Pucks for Paws game is sponsored by Beaver Lake Animal Hospital and Wags Pet Motel.
The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation is a not-for-profit organization started in 2008 by CNY Central's meteorologist Wayne Mahar in honor of his mother, who, like Wayne, was an animal lover. Through various events, the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation raises and distributes money to animal welfare organizations throughout Central New York. The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation supports organizations that help provide unfortunate animals with a second chance of a better life. Donations go to shelters, humane societies, animal adoption agencies, etc. in the state of New York.
