
Syracuse Crunch Sign Olivier Archambault to AHL Contract

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have signed forward Olivier Archambault to an AHL contract for the remainder of the 2017-18 season and the 2018-19 season, general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Archambault, 25, has appeared in 19 games with the Crunch, recording 13 points (8g, 5a) and a plus-8 rating, since signing a PTO with the team on Jan. 23. He also skated in 12 games with the San Jose Barracuda this season, earning two goals and three assists, and posted 31 points (13g, 18a) with a plus-12 rating in 19 games with the Allen Americans of the ECHL. Last season, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward appeared in 35 contests for the South Carolina Stingrays, totaling 16 goals and eight assists.
The Le Gardeur, Quebec native has played in 71 career AHL games with the Crunch, Barracuda, Iowa Wild and Hamilton Bulldogs accumulating 29 points (15g, 14a) and 56 penalty minutes. He has totaled 145 points (71g, 74a) in 142 career ECHL contests with the Americans, Stingrays, Quad City Mallards and Alaska Aces.
Archambault was originally selected in the fourth round, 108th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2011 NHL Draft.
