Switchbacks Looking for Another Win & Shoot for Championship

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Thursday, September 10, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC team is heading out to Oklahoma and looking for a win against the Energy FC.

The Switchbacks play the Energy FC Saturday, September 12th at 6 p.m. in Oklahoma City.

"We are looking at this as a playoff match," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "We are sitting at the top of the conference and we would like to be there at the end of the regular season. The players are looking to keep the momentum we have from the last two matches and getting a result in Oklahoma City."

Saturday's match comes just three days after the Switchbacks played fellow USL Western Conference club the Austin Aztex here at Sand Creek Stadium, and came out with a 3-0 win.

Currently, the Switchbacks (14-9-3, 45 pts.) stand in 1st place in the Western Conference, two points ahead of the Energy FC (12-7-7, 43 pts.), who are in 2nd place. The two clubs are battling for the top spot in the conference and home-field advantage for the playoffs.
