Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, July 1, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are looking for fireworks on the field and revenge against the Austin Aztex for their "Red, White and Boom" night on Friday.

This will be the third meeting between these two clubs, but the first at home for the Switchbacks FC. Switchbacks FC lost to the Aztex 0-2 and 0-1 in their last two USL Western Conference matches. Now, Switchbacks FC are hoping their home-field advantage, with a bigger pitch and being at altitude, will be all it takes to beat the Aztex and continue their home-winning streak.

"After a great month of June, the players are anxious to start the second half of the season at home versus Austin," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "We are playing with a lot of confidence at home and look forward to continuing our winning streak."

Right now in the USL Western Conference, Switchbacks FC (9-5-0) have 27 points, while the Austin Aztex (5-7- 3) have 15 points.

The match against the Aztex starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 3rd . Stick around after the match for fireworks!

This is a double header, with the Pride W League playing Seattle at 4 p.m.
