Sacramento Republic FC Accepting Nominations for 3rd Annual Sacramento Spirit Award

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 1, 2015) - Sacramento Republic FC will begin accepting nominations for the 2015 Sacramento Spirit Award on Wednesday, July 1. The Sacramento Spirit Award will be presented to the recipient at the Republic FC match on July 18, the Third Annual Sacramento Soccer Day.
Nominations can be made at SacRepublicFC.com/community/sacramento-spirit-award. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, July 14 at 6:00 p.m.
The Sacramento Spirit Award is an award that is presented annually to an exceptional individual or organization that has shown indomitable spirit, dedication to the growth of soccer and commitment to making an impact in the Sacramento community both on and off the pitch.
Nominees must be an individual or organization that has impacted the growth of soccer in the region, demonstrated the indomitable spirit of our community or made a positive impact in the community beyond just the game.
Previous Sacramento Spirit Award recipients include Ruben Mora Sr., manager of the Sacramento Gold FC and the Sacramento Knights, the professional indoor soccer team that played from 1993 to 2001 and won the World Indoor Soccer League Championship in 1999.
