OKC Energy FC (7-3-3) enters play coming off its worst defeat in franchise history, a 6-2 loss to Louisville City FC last Saturday in Louisville. OKC keeper Evan Newton allowed a career-high six goals in the loss, raising his GAA from 1.00 to 1.38. OKC was outshot 20-7 in the match, with Louisville's Matt Fondy netting three goals for the first hat trick allowed in Energy FC history. The six goals surrendered was also a franchise record. OKC forward Danni Konig registered a goal in the game, extending his personal goal streak to five games and point streak to six. Sebastian Dalgaard scored his third goal of the season for OKC, but later picked up a red card in the game's final minute.

Orange County Blues FC (6-6-1) hosts OKC off its first win in six matches (1-4-1), a 3-2 victory over Vancouver last Saturday. OC began the season winning five of its first seven before losing four of its last six. Didier Crettenand leads the Blues in all offensive categories with six goals, three assists, 15 points and 23 shots.

Saturday's match marks the first meeting of the season between the two clubs. OKC was 3-1-0 against Orange County in 2014.
