
Swift Current Deals Elder to Calgary Hitmen

Swift Current, SK: The Swift Current Broncos and Calgary Hitmen completed a trade on Thursday morning as they sent 20-year-old forward Kaden Elder to the Hitmen in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
Elder, a product of Saskatoon, SK joined the Broncos midway through the 2015-16 season via trade with the Seattle Thunderbirds and was a tremendous contributor to the club, including playing a vital role in Swift Current's run to the 2018 WHL Championship.
The 5'10, 183lb forward notched nine points (3g-6a) in 26 postseason games in 2018, including one game winning goal. Elder began the 2018-19 season playing in two games and scored the first goal of the new season for the Broncos in their Home Opener & Banner Raising on Friday, Sept. 21st vs. Saskatoon.
Elder was originally selected in the first round, 22nd overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft and has totalled 69 points (39g-30a) in 250 career WHL games.
Swift Current heads to Edmonton on Friday, September 28th to take on the Oil Kings at Rogers Place at 7:00pm.
