Sweets vs. AppleSox Make-up Game Scheduled for August 12, if Necessary
August 4, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Walla Walla Sweets News Release
WENATCHEE, WA -- On August 1, 2013, the scheduled game between the Walla Walla Sweets and Wenatchee AppleSox was unable to be played due to unplayable field conditions at the time of the game. Heavy rain in the hours leading up to the game left large amounts of water on Paul Thomas Sr. Field, washing out the third and final game of the series.
Because the game could have potential postseason implications, an "if necessary" makeup game has been scheduled. The game would be played in Wenatchee, WA, at Paul Thomas Sr. Field on August 12, at 7:05 p.m. In the event that playing game would have no effect upon the final outcome concerning playoff participation or seeding, the game will not be played.
There will be no pre-sale tickets for this game. Tickets will be for sale on the day of the game at Paul Thomas Sr. Field. Any ticket holders from the rained out game on August 1 can exchange their unused tickets for the make-up game, or any other AppleSox home game for the remainder of the 2013 season, including playoffs. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. on August 12.
