Kelowna Falcons News Release

Corvallis, OR: It was the longest game of the season for the Kelowna Falcons as they would open a three game series with the Corvallis Knights in Oregon, falling 3-2 in 14 innings.

The Falcons would jump out to a lead in the top of the first inning with on Grayson Porter ground out. He would bring home Darren Kolk after his 21st steal of the season.

Austin Rice, the start for the Falcons was dialed in, not allowing a run until the bottom of the fourth inning. He would give up a leadoff homerun to Blake Drake.

The Falcons offense would respond immediately in the top of the fifth inning as Nolan Johnson would drive in Nathan Robertson as the visitors retook the lead.

However in the bottom of the seventh, the Knights would tie it with a two out single from Kevin Keyes to score Chris Rabago off Rice.

That would be all the scoring until the bottom of the 14th inning.

The Knights would load the bases on Josh Spence, without getting a hit. Then Cody Lenahan would hit a single to drive in the winning run.

The Falcons and Knights will play a double header on Sunday at Oregon State University, as both games will be seven inning games. Nolan Savage looks for his sixth win of the season in game one.

The Falcons will return home on Friday night to host the Wenatchee Applesox in a season ending three game series.
