Kitsap scored the most runs in a game this season and defeated the Gems 11-6 in the Sunday matinee afternoon at Kiger Stadium. The Gems were outhit 17 to 8 and saw their three game winning streaked snapped. L.J. Brewster (University of Hawaii) had three RBIs including his second home run of the year in the losing effort. Paul Panaccione (Grand Canyon University) chipped in with two hits and an RBI for the Gems, who fall to 24-23 overall and 5 1/2 games back of the final playoff position in the South Division.
Kitsap broke a two game losing streak with the win and move to 17-30 in the 2013 campaign. Angelo Lingos (UC Riverside) took the loss for Klamath Falls and falls to 2-5 on the year. Spenser Watkins (Western Oregon University) wins his second straight start for Kitsap and improves to 2-2 overall.
