SwampDogs Announce Partial Postseason Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville SwampDogs have announced a partial schedule for the 2011 Petitt Cup Playoffs beginning this week.
The SwampDogs, CPL South First Half and overall champions, are currently the number two overall seed, and are just one win away from clinching that second seed in the postseason. They are already guaranteed home field in the first round of the postseason, creating some clarity in the schedule.
On Thursday, August 4, the SwampDogs will begin the best-of-three Petitt Cup quarterfinals on the road. Time, location, and opponent are still to be determined, as eight different teams are still competing for the final four playoff berths.
The SwampDogs will return home to host game two on Friday, August 5, at 7:05 p.m. at J.P. Riddle Stadium. They will also host game three, if necessary, on Saturday, August 6, also at 7:05 p.m.
