Svedberg Reassigned from Chicago

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have reassigned defenseman Viktor Svedberg to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Svedberg, 24, has tallied four points (2G, 2A) in 19 games with the Blackhawks this season since making his National Hockey League debut on Oct. 9 at the New York Islanders. The Gothenburg, Sweden, native has posted 10 points (1G, 9A) in 30 games with Rockford this year. Svedberg has recorded 33 points (6G, 27A) in 114 career regular-season games with the IceHogs across three seasons (2013-16) and added four assists in eight 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs games. He was originally signed as a free agent on Oct. 19, 2013.

Next Home Game: Tickets for Saturday, March 5 vs. Lake Erie Monsters at 7 p.m are SOLD OUT. Tickets still remain for the game on March 6 versus the Monsters at 4 p.m. March 6 is Autism Awareness Night and after the game, the team will host a "Skate with the Hogs" event where fans will be welcome to skate on the ice with their favorite IceHogs players.
