New York Boulders News Release
Garrett Johnson lasted only two innings, his offense only produced two hits, and the Boulders (21-17) fell to the Miners (26-12) by a score of 7-1 and have dropped the first two games of the series.
In a game that lasted only 2 hours and 36 minutes, the Miners put up a five spot in the first on four hits. After scratching across another run in the next inning on a Martin Figueroa RBI single, Johnson's night was done. The right hander, who went seven strong against New Jersey less than a week ago, was charged with six earned runs, three walks, and no strikeouts this time around.
The only Boulder run scored was by Kevin Krause in the 8th.
Rockland looks to avoid the sweep tomorrow at 7:05pm EST.
