OTTAWA - In conjunction with the NHL's Ottawa Senators, the Ottawa Champions are happy to announce the attendance of some talented young athletes at the Canada Day game featuring the Champions and New Jersey Jackals.
Brady Tkachuk, the Senators first round draft pick last week at the 2018 NHL entry draft, and fellow Senators prospect Colin White, will throw out the game's first pitches.
All of the Senators development camp roster will be on the field for a special pre-game ceremony to honour the NHL stars of the future.
The game is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. with pre-game ceremonies starting at 1:20 p.m.
Development camp runs from Tuesday this week, all the way through July 2. The game will be one of the last events before the players head back home to prepare for the hockey season in the fall.
