Atlantic City Surf News Release
Newark,NJ- Jason Jacome threw just 84 pitches in a complete game victory over the Newark Bears Thursday evening. 14 of the 35 batters he faced made contact on the first pitch, and another seven batter put the ball in play on the second pitch he delivered to them.
The Surf scored eight runs, thanks to two Jose Velasquez home runs and a "Large Human" (Juan Thomas) three-run blast which ties him with the league lead in Home runs at 23.
The Surf have been winning the games they set out to win, and will have there biggest challenge once they get home on Saterday. The remainder of the season will be very interesting because they have a lossing record against all the teams they play, but AC is a much stronger team since they last played these clubs. Saturday the team will take on hot-hitting Bridgepoort for three.
Tonight the Surf will look for their sixth straight win, and their 12th in the last 15 played.
Final score, 8-4.
