
Echols Wins NEL Exec of the Year

DURHAM, N.C. â Brockton general manager Dave Echols was named the Daktronics Northeast League Executive of the Year on Friday.
"This is a testament to the dedication of the staff and city as a whole," Echols said. "After a successful inaugural year we were able to not just maintain the excitement of Rox baseball but also improve upon it.
The league managers and media voted for the awards.
Echols has been the general manager of the Rox since their inception in 2002. A graduate of the University of Dayton, he began his career with the Fayetteville (N.C.) Generals and also worked with the Kinston (N.C.) Indians, the Columbus (Ohio) Clippers and most recently the Charleston (S.C.) RiverDogs, where he was named the sales executive of the year in 2000.
