ATLANTIC CITY - The Atlantic City Surf defeated the Newark Bears 13-4 Saturday night at Bernie Robbins Stadium before 4333. Atlantic City pounded out 18 hits and enjoyed a six-run eighth inning on the way to the easy victory. Raul Marval was 3-for-4 with three RBI and Dusty Maddox also enjoyed a 2-for-5, three-RBI night. Marval also blasted his 17th home run of the season. Atlantic City is now 35-27 in the second half; Newark is 21-40. Ryan Schurman was the winning pitcher for the Surf. He upped his record to 7-6. Pat Daneker, 5-10, took the loss for the Bears. The two teams finish the regular season Sunday at 1:35 p.m. at Bernie Robbins Stadium.
