Camden, NJ- It was round three of the Lincoln Mikkelsen-Anthony Chavez match as Chavez came out early with a 2-0 lead. Juan Thomas singled home the first run, Gambill singled, Then Ric Johnson continued his hot hitting with runners on as he drove home "the Large Human" in the first inning.
Chavez gave up a run in the bottom of the second inning to Camden but it was all they could score off him as he went the distance.
Chad Gambill hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning and the with Jorge Meran on second base, Pat Burn climbed out of his 3-for-34 slump with an RBI single.
Gambill threw a runner out trying to score from second base to end the inning, and Brody Jackson recovered a hard hit down the foul line and gunned it to second base to catch the runner trying for two.
Chavez looked great as he pitched nine innings of six-hit ball giving him his sixth win of the season. The Surf host the struggling Road Warriors tommorow at the Sandcastle so come out and cheer your Surf on.
