
Super Bowl champion to throw out first pitch Saturday

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Sand Gnats will welcome Pittsburgh Steelers punter and Hilton Head Island resident Chris Gardocki as he throws out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game.
Gardocki has attended Sand Gnats games in past years with his son Cole. On Saturday Cole will be an honorary Sand Gnats bat boy for the night.
Gardocki, a 15-year NFL veteran, was born and raised just outside Atlanta in Stone Mountain, Ga. He graduated from Clemson Universty and was a Pro Bowler in 1996. His 1,045 punts without having one blocked is an NFL record.
