Hagerstown Suns News Release
The Hagerstown Suns used two homeruns in the first two innings to jump out in front 4-0 and held on to win 6-5 over Kannapolis.
Ambiorix Concepcion hit a 2-run homerun in the first inning, and Mike Carp hit a 2-run shot of his own in the third inning.
Starter Jose Sanchez won his 5th game of the year allowing just one earned run. Right-hander Adam Russell took the loss for the Intimidators.
Dante Brinkley had three hits to catapult himself back to the top of the batting average list in the South Atlantic League.
