Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Jacksonville Suns scored three first inning runs and held on the rest of the night to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts by the final score of 4-1 at BellSouth Park.
Jacksonville scored three runs in the first inning off of Chattanooga starter Josh Hall, including the first run on an Aaron Herr error at third base. The other two runs came from a Justin Ruggiano single.
Suns starter T.J. Nall allowed his first run in 18 innings in the first inning of Thursday's game, but settled in after that for a strong six inning outing. Nall allowed three hits in his final five inning while striking out nine.
The Suns offense added another run in the sixth inning on a Jimmy Rohan fielder's choice RBI to finalize the scoring at 4-1.
Former Chattanooga Lookouts reliever Ben Kozlowski pitched two innings for the Suns against his former club, allowing three hits.
Nall improved to 7-2 in the victory while Hall fell to 3-2 in the loss for Chattanooga. Mark Alexander saved his 19th game of the season.
