In game one, it was the Suns emerging with a 4-2 victory, giving the club wins in each of the first two games of this six-game set.

Chipper Smith (W, 1-0) impressed again for the Suns in game one of the twinbill, earning his first Southern League win after allowing two unearned runs on three hits in 5.1 innings of work, while not walking a batter and striking out four Biscuits. The lefty has not allowed more than three hits in any of his first three Southern League starts.

Nick Wittgren (SV, 7) earned the save for Jacksonville by getting the final five outs, striking out three batters while allowing only one hit over his 1.2 innings to finish off game one.

After winning his first two starts against the Suns in 2014, Victor Mateo (L, 6-4) took the loss in Tuesday's game one, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts over six innings. Dating back to the final out of the bottom of the second inning, Mateo faced the minimum 13 batters the rest of the way.

The Suns opened up the scoring in Tuesday's first game of the doubleheader. Following a two-out double to left by J.T. Realmuto, a fielding error by Jake Hager on a ground ball off the bat of Rich Poythress snuck through the legs of the shortstop and trickled in to left field, allowing Realmuto to score to give the Suns a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Jacksonville continued to manufacture runs against Victor Mateo in the second inning, receiving a RBI single from Alfredo Lopez on a hit-and-run play, a RBI groundout from Brent Keys and a two-out balk allowing Alfredo Lopez to score from third, pushing the lead to 4-0 in favor of the Suns after two innings of play.

The Biscuits cut the lead in half in the top of the sixth after receiving RBI doubles from Jeremy Moore and Luke Maile to cut Jacksonville's lead to 4-2 and cap off the scoring in game one.

Backed by a huge four-run bottom of the fifth inning, the Suns pushed past the Biscuits 6-3 in game two to earn a clean sweep of Tuesday's doubleheader at Bragan Field.

Micah Owings (W, 1-0) earned the win in his Miami Marlins organizational debut, allowing two runs (both earned) on five hits over five innings, while striking out six Biscuits and not walking a single batter. Both runs scoring against Owings came via the home run.

Edgar Olmos allowed one run on one hit, while walking one batter and striking out two Biscuits in two innings to finish off the ballgame.

Matt Lollis (L, 2-1) took the loss for the first time this season after allowing three runs (all earned) on just one hit, while also walking two batters and striking out one in 1.1 innings.

In Tuesday's second ballgame, it was the Biscuits who wasted no time hopping on the scoreboard.

On the second pitch of the game, Ryan Brett (HR, 3) took Micah Owings deep for a leadoff homer, giving the Biscuits an early 1-0 lead.

It didn't take long for the Suns to have their response. Brent Keys tripled into the right field corner to begin the bottom of the first inning and came down to score on the next batter Austin Nola's sacrifice fly to tie the game at 1-1.

The Biscuits took a 2-1 lead in the top of second on a two-out solo home run from Riccio Torrez (HR, 1), his first homer of the year and first since hitting a three-run shot at Chattanooga on June 26, 2013.

Austin Nola struck again for the Suns in the third, with his RBI single scoring Alfredo Lopez to tie the game at 2-2.

The game remained tied until the Suns busted out for four runs, receiving another big RBI single from Nola to grab a 3-2 lead and then push the lead to 6-2 two batters later on a bases-clearing double from Rich Poythress.

Alejandro Segovia (HR, 2) took Edgar Olmos deep to lead off the top of the seventh inning to cut the lead to 6-3 in favor of the Suns; his home run would finish off the scoring in game two.

The Suns and Biscuits will be back at it on Wednesday afternoon, with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. ET at Bragan Field.
