JACKSONVILLE, FL - In just one inning the Mobile BayBears saw their five-run lead erased by the Jacksonville Suns, who posted eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to top Mobile by a final of 8-6 on Wednesday afternoon at The Baseball grounds of Jacksonville.

The BayBears (6-6) were going for their third straight victory and started off hot. In the top of the first inning, BayBears center fielder Todd Glaesmann reached on a double and the next batter, first baseman Kevin Cron muscled out a two-run, homerun over the left field fence. Cron's homer, his second of the season, gave Mobile the early 2-0 lead. Glaesmann again doubled in the third and scored on a RBI-double from Cron to make the score 3-0 in favor of Mobile.

A solo home run by BayBears' catcher Michael Perez in the fourth coupled by a RBI ground out from Ildemaro Vargas in the same inning stretched the Mobile to 5-0.

The first four Suns hitters all reached safely with base hits back up through the middle of the infield. Francisco Arcia's base hit on a line drive to right scored Austin Dean for the Suns first run. With the bases loaded, an RBI ground out from Jeremias Pineda scored another run drawing Jacksonville closer with Mobile.

The inning got out of hand for Mobile when Moises Sierra walked to load the bases for Yefri Perez. Perez grounded into a force out, allowing Pineda to score and to cut it to a 5-4 BayBears lead. J.T. Riddle followed a two-run, single which scored Peter Mooney and Perez, completing the Suns comeback and giving them a 6-5 lead.

Dean pushed the Suns lead to three after a two-run homer making it an 8-5, but the BayBears managed just one run the rest of the way accounting for the 8-6 final, and evening the series at 2-2.
