JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns are proud to announce that LHP Jose Alvarez has won Pitcher of the Week honors by the Southern League for the week of June 18th - June 24th.
Alvarez, compiled a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA in eight innings pitched, two hits allowed and one walk and five strikeouts against the Tennessee Smokies in Jacksonville, Florida.
This is the first Southern League Pitcher of the Week honor for a Jacksonville Suns player this season.
