Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
Left-handed reliever Wilkin De La Rosa has been placed on the disabled list for a right oblique strain. He is replaced on the roster by RHP Josh Ravin. He was originally with Pensacola when the teams broke from Spring Training, but was placed on the disabled list before appearing in a game.
Ravin was added to the Bakersfield roster once he was reinstated from the DL. He appeared in three games in Advanced-A this season prior to his promotion to Pensacola. He worked one inning in each of those three games and allowed a total of three runs -two earned- while striking out four.
The hard-throwing right-hander was drafted by the Reds in the fifth round in 2006. This will be his second stint at Double-A. He made six appearances, all starts, with the Carolina Mudcats in 2011. He was 0-2 with a 7.07 ERA with Carolina.
