Frankie Reed gave up an unearned run on two hits while striking out three Lookouts in 2.2 innings of relief.
Collin Cargill (W, 3-1) earned the win after retiring the only batter he faced in his brief Saturday night outing.
Nick Wittgren (H, 1) surrendered two runs (both earned) on three hits in his 1.1 innings, walking one batter and striking out a pair of Lookouts along the way.
Matt Ramsey (SV, 12) collected the save despite giving up a pair of unearned runs on two hits in 1.2 innings of work, striking out two batters in his outing.
Anthony Slama took the loss for Chattanooga by allowing three runs (all earned) on eight hits with a walk and a strikeout in two innings of work.
The Lookouts struck first on Sunday, scoring twice in the bottom of the first. Chattanooga got a run on an Angel Sanchez RBI single with another coming across on second baseman Yosmany Guerra's throwing error to give the Lookouts a 2-0 lead after the first inning of play.
Chattanooga added to their advantage with a single run in the bottom of the third. Angel Sanchez (HR, 1) led off the frame with a homer to left to extend the lead to 3-0 in favor of the Lookouts with three innings complete.
Jacksonville hopped on the scoreboard with a pair of runs to cut into Chattanooga's lead in the top of the fourth. A Brady Shoemaker RBI groundout and a Corey Seager throwing error allowed the Suns to trim the Lookouts' lead to 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning.
The Suns took the lead by plating two runs in the top of the sixth. Back-to-back sacrifice flies from Joe Benson and Brent Keys put the Suns in front by a 4-3 edge after five and a half innings.
Jacksonville's lead did not stand for long, as Chattanooga leveled the score with a run in the bottom of the sixth. Corey Seager's RBI single tied up the ballgame at 4-4 after six innings of play.
The Suns immediately re-gained the lead on Brady Shoemaker's two-out, two-run single which put the Suns back out in front by a 6-4 score in the top of the seventh.
Austin Nola helped the Suns further their lead by pushing across one run in the top of the eighth. Nola's two-out RBI single helped Jacksonville extend their lead to 7-4 in the top of the eighth inning.
The Lookouts cut the lead to one after scoring twice in the bottom of the eighth inning. O'Koyea Dickson (HR, 17) hit a two-run homer to make it a 7-6 Suns lead after eight innings of play.
Jacksonville got those two runs right back in the top of the ninth inning. A Joe Benson RBI triple and a Brent Keys RBI groundout put the Suns ahead 9-6 with eight and a half innings complete.
But the Lookouts did not go quietly, scoring twice to make it interesting in the bottom of the ninth. Back-to-back two-out RBI singles from Daniel Mayora and Corey Seager helped Chattanooga cut the lead to 9-8.
The Suns will now head back to Jacksonville to begin a five-game series with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos with first pitch of Sunday's series-opening ballgame set for 6:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will start right-hander Jose Urena (10-8, 3.64) while the Blue Wahoos are yet to announce their starter.
