
Suns get swept in double header against Power

Charelston, WV: The Hagerstown Suns rocky season continues as they got swept in a double-header 7-1 and 4-0 against the West Virginia Power on Monday. The Suns lost their third and fourth games in a row to fall to 21-35 in the second half and 49-77 overall. The Suns started the second half at 7-7, but have gone 14-28 since. West Virginia improved to 29-27 in the second half with the two wins, and 68-57 overall. The Suns had just seven hits total in the double-header and were shutout for the 12th time this year in game two. Almost lost in the losses was Josh Stinson first start above rookie ball. The 18 year old Stinson, drafted in the 37th round out of high school two months ago, went the first four innings without giving up a run in game two. The finale of the four game series is at 7:05pm on Tuesday and had the Suns 17 year old phenom Deolis Guerra going against LHP Steve Garrison for the Power. The Suns have a day off on Wednesday, and then start a five game, four day series at Delmarva with a double-header on Thursday against the Shorebirds.
