
Suns Finish Regular Season with 82 Wins, Most Since 2001

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (82-55/40-28) finished their regular season schedule with 82 wins, the most since 2001 (83-57), after falling 3-2 to the Asheville Tourists (88-52/41-29) in the regular season finale at Municipal Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Suns starting pitcher Taylor Jordan (3-4) suffered the loss after allowing three runs on ten hits over four innings of work. Hendry Jimenez and Brett Newsome each doubled twice, with Jimenez collecting an RBI. Cole Leonida had the other Suns RBI.
Asheville reliever Will Rankin (1-1) earned the win with 1.1 innings out of the bullpen. Starter Tyler Gagnon gave up one run on six hits over 4.2 innings in a no-decision. David Kandilas and Jared Simon each went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
The Suns will host game one of the Northern Division Championship Series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. RHP Blake Schwartz (1-1, 3.05) is slated to start the opener for Hagerstown.
