
Suns Fall Short in 6-3 Loss to Asheville

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (82-54/40-27) dropped a 6-3 game to the Asheville Tourists (87-52/40-29) at Municipal Stadium on Sunday night.
Suns starting pitcher Wirkin Estevez (5-2) suffered the loss after allowing five runs on five hits and six walks over four innings of work. Outfielders Caleb Ramsey and Billy Burns each collected an RBI in the loss.
Ashville starter Dan Winkler (11-10) earned the win by allowing three runs on seven hits while fanning seven batters in his seven innings on the mound. Right fielder David Kandilas led the Tourists' attack by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
The Suns will close out the regular season against the Tourists tomorrow, Labor Day, at 1:05 p.m. RHP Taylor Jordan (3-3, 3.75) takes the mound against Asheville's RHP Tyler Gagnon (0-0, 2.84).
