Jose Urena (W, 9-7) was nothing short of brilliant in his Saturday night outing, winning his third consecutive start as he tossed seven shutout innings, only allowing three hits and one walk while setting a new season-high with eight strikeouts.
Greg Nappo (H, 8) struck out the side in a scoreless bottom of the eighth, giving up a lone hit in his outing.
Nick Wittgren (SV, 15) picked up his 15th save of the season by tossing a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth inning, striking out one batter along the way.
Michael Colla (L, 6-10) took the tough-luck loss for Montgomery, only allowing a single run (earned) on four hits in 6.1 innings of work while walking two batters and striking out four Suns.
The Suns didn't wait long to hop on the scoreboard on Saturday night, as Austin Barnes drilled a one-out home run to left field to give Jacksonville a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning; a lead that would stand all the way through the completion of the ballgame.
The Suns and Biscuits will be back at it on Sunday, with first pitch set for 5:35 p.m. CT (6:35 p.m. ET). The Suns will start right-hander Jay Rogers (5-2, 3.43) while the Biscuits will send out a righty of their own in Dylan Floro (9-8, 3.48).
Suns fans can listen to Sunday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or through www.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 6:05 p.m. ET with the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show on Suns Sunday.
