
RHP Chris Bassitt Activated from DL

The Birmingham Barons and Chicago White Sox have announced that RHP Chris Bassitt has been activated from the disabled list. Roster at 25.
Bassitt, 25, was placed on the disabled list prior to the start of the 2014 season and made three rehab appearances with the Rookie Level Arizona League White Sox going 0-0 with a 4.15 ERA (4 ER/8.2 IP).
He was promoted to Birmingham from Class A Winston-Salem on July 18, 2013 and went 4-2 with a 2.27 ERA (12 ER/47.2 IP) with 37 strikeouts in eight regular season starts. He was instrumental in the team's Southern League Championship run going 2-0 with a 0.71 ERA( 1 ER/12.2 IP) in two postseason starts.
Beck was selected by the White Sox in the 16th round of the June 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Akron where he earned All-Mid American Conference honors in 2011.
