East Lake, Ohio: The Hagerstown Suns defeated the Lake County Captains 15-6 on Friday night at Classic Park. Chris Marrero went 3-4, with 4 RBI and Joe Napoli hit a grand slam in the 5th.
The Suns (17-23) have now taken the first two games on their nine-game, eight game road trip and have won their last five of six. The Suns set a season high with 15 runs, tied a season high with 16 hits as every batter in the lineup joined the hit parade. Justin Maxwell went 2-4, with 2 RBI, Alex Nunez added 3 hits, Marrero had 4 RBI and increased his total to 36. Brett McMillan chipped in with 3 hits and Joe Napoli hit a long grand slam in the 5th to open the game at 9-2.
Tomorrow, the Suns and Captains will make up a rain out from 4/25 at Classic Park and play two 7-inning games. First pitch for game 1 is scheduled for 1:05PM.
