Suns Defeat Legends 7-5 in Series Finale

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns (40-23) defeated the Lexington Legends (23-39) 7-5 on Sunday in the final game of the series at Municipal Stadium.

In the second inning, Matthew Page doubled and scored from third on a sacrifice-fly by Jorge Tillero to put the Suns up 1-0.

Jecksson Flores hit a solo home run in the third inning to tie the game 1-1.

In the fourth inning, the Suns went back on top 5-1. Page led the inning off with a solo home run and Tillero doubled to centerfield to score Austin Davidson. With two outs, Telmito Agustin hit a two-run home run to right field.

The Suns added two more runs to their lead in the fifth inning on Page's second home run of the game and Tillero's second hit of the game.

The Legends scored four runs in the seventh inning on a solo home run by Samir Duenez, a double by Ben Johnson and a two-run home run by Travis Maezes.

Page had three hits and two RBIs for Hagerstown.

Matthew DeRosier was the winning pitcher. DeRosier had seven strikeouts and allowed only two hits and one earned run through six innings.

Philip Walby struck out four through two innings and earned the save.
