Sundogs to Welcome Home X-Factor's Drew on December 16th
December 9, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced today that Chino Valley native and "The X-Factor" contestant, Drew Ryniewicz, will be in attendance at the December 16th contest between the Sundogs and the Tulsa Oilers as part of a homecoming celebration after the local singer's recent success on the Fox Broadcasting television show.
A press conference will be held on Monday at noon with Ryniewicz to promote the details of the night. The press conference will take place at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley in the second level Century Link Lounge. Media in attendance can enter the building through the Sundogs Team Store located at the corner of Main St. and Florentine. The press conference will be closed to the public, and attending media need to have a credential on hand.
The 14-year-old Ryniewicz advanced to the top seven finalists of Fox Broadcasting's television competition, before being eliminated earlier this month.
The local singer will hold a "meet and greet" session from 5:45-6:45 PM to converse with fans and take photos during the evening. Ryniewicz will also drop the first puck prior to the game's 7:05 PM start. Those that purchase a ticket to Friday's game will receive a free ticket to the Sundogs game on Saturday night, also against Tulsa.
Due to the one-hour time constraint the Sundogs cannot guarantee everyone in attendance will have a chance to meet Ryniewicz. The doors to Tim's Toyota Center will open at 5:30 PM on Friday to accommodate those that wish to attend the meet and greet session.
The Sundogs and Ryniewicz will be holding a food collection during the game for local food shelters throughout the Chino Valley and Prescott Valley area.
