LAREDO, Texas- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (10-8-2) fell to the Laredo Bucks (6-13-0) on Friday night by a 4-1 score extending their skid to four games. Kyle Radke scored the lone goal for the Bees while on the power-play. The win for Laredo snapped the Bees three-game win streak against the Bucks.

The first period saw four goals scored between the two teams, three of them on special teams.

Laredo found the back of the net first as Adam Rivet scored his 8th goal of the season. Rivet came in with Rusty Masters on a shorthanded two-on-one. Masters initial shot was turned away by John Murray but the rebound was buried by Rivet.

While on the same power-play that saw them trail 1-0 the Bees tied the score at one as Kyle Radke scored his first of the season off a shot from inside the circles. Brandon Campos and Dan Gendur earned the two assists.

Laredo would end the first period of play with back to back goals from Matt Hanson and Ryan Sparling. Hanson scored while on the power-play with a backdoor pass from Rusty Masters. Ryan Sparling scored for the Bucks after AJ Hau fed him the puck from behind the net.

The second period found neither team striking the back of the net.

In the third Laredo advanced their lead to three goals as Kyle Sibley scored his first of the season off a rebound.

There was a lengthy delay in the third period after an Aaron Lee check into the boards broke the glass in the Laredo end.

John Murray made a number of big saves for the Bees and finished with 26 saves for the evening.

The Bees and Bucks return to action tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on 956sports.com and CHL-TV.
