
Summers Named CHL Player of the Week; Richards Traded to Dayton

Wichita, KS- The Central Hockey League (CHL) today named Matt Summers as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week.
Summers played a huge part in all three Thunder wins last week, notching six goals and two assists. Summers started his big week on Tuesday, picking up a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Missouri. On Friday night, Summers notched two goals in a 4-3 home win over Texas. Summers completed the week with a hat trick and an assist in a 7-5 road victory over the Evansville IceMen.
Summers now has 12 goals and 22 points in 20 games for the first place Thunder, who have won three in a row. Wichita returns to action on Friday at the Quad City Mallards, before returning home to host the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. For tickets call 755-SEAT or go to www.selectaseat.com.
