Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Killer Bees remain in Arizona before shifting to Rapid City this week as part of a three-game week. The Bees have won two in a row, and three of their last four, heading into Tuesday's night game against the Sundogs. The Bees have beaten the Sundogs two straight outings.

Friday @ Arizona Sundogs, W 5-4 (SO)
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz.- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (12-12-4) needed a shootout but defeated the Arizona Sundogs (9-15-5) by a 5-4 score on Friday night. The Bees received goals from newcomers Craig Lineker and Philip Ischi. In addition Zac Pearson and Aaron Boogaard scored en route to the victory.
Saturday @ Arizona Sundogs, W 4-2
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz.- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (13-12-4) finished 2011 on high note with a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Sundogs (9-16-5) on Saturday night. Brandon Campos, Scott Balan, Aaron Lee and Tomas Klempa all scored while Wylie Rogers made 28 saves in net.
BEES NEED TO KNOW
. The 2011 calendar year has come to a close. The Bees finished with a 25-31-7 during 2011 spread over the end of last season and the start of this year.
. Forward Aaron Lee was named a reserve to the 2012 CHL All-Star game. For Lee it is his first All-Star appearance.
. The Bees have not had much success ringing in the new year historically. The Bees are now 2-8-0 on games on New Year's Eve including this years 4-2 win over Arizona.
. There are only two iron men among the Bees players this season as only Brandon Campos and Scott Balan have suited up for all 29 Bees games. Last season two players, Tomas Klempa and Rob Cowan, played in all 66 games.
. Forward Aaron Lee signed with the Bees for his fourth season. Lee has previously suited up for 218 games with the Bees and is closing in on the record of 223 held by Bill Newson. Lee is set to tie the record on Jan. 14 against Texas and break it on Jan. 15 also against Texas.
. Mark Kroeze was signed by the Bees on November 5 to serve as an emergency back-up goalie after an injury to Dan Dunn. Kroeze is a Minnesota native who is also is the first-ever McAllen City Urban Forester. Kroeze also serves on the Killer Bees off-ice officials crew.
